Embryonic Development

Calixtus III- opened up for Pope Alexander VI
Pius II- politician: Council of Basil
Sixtus IV- Sistine Chapel; nepotism and political intrigue; died at the word "peace"
Alexander VI- bought votes; parties and mistresses; Cesare and Lucrezia
Julius II- warrior pope; defeated Borgias; art
Leo X- Medici; Rome as city of pleasure; Martin Luther: Protestant Reformation
