Yearbook

What a pity for Lincoln's Decathlon team in the 2006 yearbook. First, we only got half a page, which looks awful next to Science Bowl's full page. But I guess since Science Bowl bought the rest of their page and we have Econ Challenge as the bottom of the Decathlon page, it is essentially as if Decathlon has a full page for no money. Second, the staff switched the categories. I am a varsity instead of an honors in the eyes of unsuspecting strangers. Finally, "Decathlon" was spelled wrong! Elementary mistake: "Decathalon." Have we learned nothing from the Scripps National Spelling Bee? or Akeelah and the Bee? or Spellbound? or Lisa Simpson's "intransigance/intransigence" fiasco?

The yearbook is always full of errors. It's a shame but it's inevitable. At least we will always have the memories.
